dumbness returns

Well, folks. I feel the need to be back. I've been out of college for 4 years, worked at 2 different elementary schools, and to top it off...

I HAVE A PART TIME JOB IN A PLACE WHERE THERE IS AN EXORBITANT AMOUNT OF DUMBNESS!!!

I work... in the hotel industry.

Are people aware of how stupid they are? Or how much the front desk staff can figure out about them just from the phone calls that they make down here?

For example, this man (room 423 to be exact) had the audacity to call down here and complain about his movie not starting...

"Well, sir," I said, with oh so much care and concern, "you should be able to order your movie there in your room off of your television."

"It says 'To order this movie, contact the front office,'" Mr. 423 says.

"What movie is it?"

::PAUSE::

"It's from the adult channel."

This is where ol' boy gets the dumb pe0ple award for "School on Saturday:" NO CLASS. I mean, come on... If you really can't get your wank-off flick to work, are you seriously going to call down to the front desk to order the movie? Even if you don't want to tell me what porno you can't view, I can ALWAYS find out somehow... okay?

Anyone ever gotten a weird look from a front desk worker at a hotel? Maybe because of the "chick flick" that appeared on your account. Oh, yes. We can always find that stuff out...

And 423... SHAME on you for ordering such unmentionables at 6:45 in the evening!

That was therapeutic. I think I am going to have to pick this back up again, for sure. Four years of life after college and being inundated with uneducated and unsophisticated individuals above and beyond college age has provided me with an innumerable amount of tragedy and trash. Oh, yes... the dumbness still lives on...
