daddy dearest

Well... I have had to discuss mothers a couple of times here in dumb pe0ple, but I haven't ever had to discuss the stupidty of a father... until today.

One of the campers this week was here with his sister. His sister found a boy that she liked a little bit. Turned out that the boy liked her too. The brother didn't really like that... so, he called his dad and told him that there was a dude all up on his sister...

The boy is not really dumb... if anything, he just needs to get over the fact that his sister is going to talk to boys regardless of whether he likes it or not.

The DAD on the other hand is probably one of the most sorry excuses for a parent I have ever met in my life.

So when the dad came up to camp (first no-no), he approached his daughter's friend boy (second no-no) and told him not to put his hands on his daughter. Then there was some dialogue and confrontations that I am not really certain about, but the next thing I saw was the man's son start arguing and raising up to the other boy. All the while, the dad is standing right there just being a waste of a life. The other boy really didn't do anything. He was backing up and even said to the dad, "You are a grown man! Why are you getting involved in all of this?!" The next thing I know, the son is swinging at the boy and Nick is the only person keeping the two of them from going at it. THE DAD IS BEING COMPLETELY USELESS. He is standing there right smack dab in the middle of the mess, and all he is doing is watching. I walked away a minute to get a good look at everything. I didn't want to get all up in it mainly because my first reaction was, "Geez, this is this man's son, and I don't think I want to put my hands on him in front if him?!" But then when it started getting REAL serious and the boy took his lanyard off and started swinging it (with the key on the end) through the crowd at the boy! Once more, the dad has done nothing. It wasn't until I stepped in and pulled the boy away that his dad said, "Don't show out."

Well, excuse me, you dumb dad, your son has already embarrassed you, your daughter, AND himself. He has taken the "show out" train and ridden it all over the place. Maybe if you had actually given your son some sufficient home training, he wouldn't have "shown out." If it had been my son, the fight would have been between me and him. I wouldn't dare let my offspring act out in front of an entire camp like that.

People like that dumb father really shouldn't be allowed to procreate. No Father's Day for him...
